Content
You will study the following modules through virtual delivery, combining live instructor-led sessions, practical demonstrations, and collaborative assignments via industry-standard software and learning platforms:

BIM Foundations – Concepts, Context & Tools
Gain a clear understanding of BIM principles, standards (including ISO 19650), and the role of BIM in Kenya’s digital construction landscape. Explore foundational tools and the significance of data and collaboration in project delivery.

Revit for Architecture – Modeling & Documentation
Develop architectural models in Autodesk Revit and learn how to generate professional plans, sections, schedules, and 3D visualizations. Emphasis is placed on clean documentation workflows suitable for design coordination.

Revit for Structure – Modeling & Coordination
Master the basics of structural modeling, load-bearing elements, and coordination with architectural designs. Learn how to detect and resolve model conflicts to improve construction efficiency.

Revit for MEP – Systems Modeling & Documentation
Get introduced to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) modeling. Learn how to integrate MEP systems within coordinated models and produce accurate technical documentation.

BIM Planning & BEP Simulation
Understand the purpose and structure of a BIM Execution Plan (BEP), roles within BIM teams, and simulate digital collaboration workflows for effective project planning.

Capstone Presentation & Industry Reflection
Apply your learning in a final project that addresses a real-world BIM challenge. Present your solution to trainers and peers and reflect on your readiness to support BIM implementation in Kenya’s construction sector.
