Founder & Director

In January 2018, Sylvester Muthoka founded Benign Consultants Limited to drive digital transformation in Kenya’s construction sector. As the director, he leads the company’s strategic growth, innovation, and expansion into BIM consultancy and digital construction management. His vision has positioned Benign as a trusted partner for SMEs, architects, engineers, developers, and contractors seeking smart, sustainable solutions

He holds a bachelor’s degree in construction management and a master’s in construction project management.

With over a decade of experience, he has championed BIM adoption, data integration, and sustainability across diverse projects. His leadership continues to shape capacity-building initiatives, support digital upskilling, and bridge the infrastructure technology divides across Kenya’s built environment.

Associate Partner, BIM Coordination & Delivery Assurance

Shaban plays a key role in ensuring BIM execution aligns with real-world construction needs across Benign’s infrastructure and building projects. With over 20 years in civil engineering and digital delivery, he leads coordination efforts, model reviews, and field integration to support accurate and efficient project outcomes.

He serves as a BIM trainer, focusing on model accuracy, site coordination, and bridging digital and on-site workflows using Revit, Navisworks, and Autodesk Construction Cloud. His training sessions enhance team proficiency and quality assurance across the lifecycle.

He holds a bachelor’s in civil engineering from Benha University and is passionate about driving practical BIM applications that elevate construction performance and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Associate Partner, BIM Architecture & Technical Excellence

Reham plays a key role in leading architectural BIM delivery and elevating technical standards across Benign’s projects. With a strong background in architectural design and digital coordination, she brings expertise in model management, documentation, and technical office workflows using Revit, Navisworks, and Autodesk Construction Cloud.

As an external BIM trainer, she facilitates professional training programs focused on architectural modelling, clash detection, and quality documentation. Her sessions equip practitioners across the industry with hands-on skills aligned to current project needs and international standards.

She is an Autodesk Certified Professional and an experienced BIM Architect, committed to raising architectural BIM practice through knowledge sharing, mentorship, and a dedication to technical precision in design and delivery.

Assistant Marketing Manager

Susan Albert supports the planning and execution of strategic marketing, branding, and outreach initiatives. With a keen understanding of the construction and digital training landscape, Susan leads efforts in content development, campaign coordination, and community engagement across digital platforms. She plays a vital role in mobilizing course participants, managing promotional events, and expanding the company’s visibility among key industry stakeholders. Her work strengthens the connection between Benign’s services and its growing client and learner base. Susan’s creativity, attention to detail, and data-informed approach contribute to the firm’s reputation as a leader in digital construction education and consultancy.

Assistant HR & Admin

Rachael Wairimu supports the implementation of Benign Consultants’ people-first strategy under the guidance of the Associate Director – HR and Accounts. She contributes to recruitment coordination, onboarding, staff engagement initiatives, and administrative support, helping ensure a smooth employee experience across the organization. Rachael also assists in maintaining HR records, tracking compliance with policies, and supporting performance monitoring processes. Her role is integral to sustaining a positive, productive, and growth-oriented work environment. With a keen interest in strategic HR and organizational development, she is gaining practical experience in talent management within the fast-evolving construction and BIM consultancy sector. Rachael’s attention to detail, discretion, and commitment to learning support Benign’s mission of building a resilient, skilled, and innovative workforce.

BIM Manager & Trainer

Angela Cauri serves as BIM Manager and Trainer, where she leads the strategic implementation of BIM workflows and coordinates delivery of the firm’s professional training programs. With a solid background in architecture and advanced digital design, she specializes in model coordination, information management, and BIM-enabled collaboration aligned with ISO 19650 standards. Angela brings deep technical proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BIM 360, and supports both consultancy projects and learning cohorts with structured, real-world insight. Her role bridges innovation and practice—ensuring digital construction strategies translate into measurable project outcomes and skilled industry professionals.

Graduate Intern, Construction Management

Waweru supports project operations across construction sites and digital platforms, contributing to planning, documentation, and coordination tasks under senior supervision. In addition to his core responsibilities, he plays a key role in the preparation and delivery of Benign’s BIM training programs, offering technical support to participants and assisting with software troubleshooting.

With a keen interest in digital construction, Waweru is developing his skills in BIM workflows, project controls, and model-based coordination. His internship reflects Benign’s commitment to nurturing emerging talent and equipping future professionals with the technical fluency and practical insight needed in today’s evolving construction landscape.

Joseph Karanja leads the integration of BIM workflows across client projects and professional development programs. With a strong background in architectural design and digital coordination, he specializes in model validation, clash detection, and federated model workflows. Joseph is proficient in industry-standard tools including Revit, Navisworks, and BIM 360, and plays a key role in delivering Benign’s tiered BIM training courses. His expertise bridges technical implementation with structured knowledge transfer, enabling professionals to adopt ISO 19650-compliant practices and deliver more efficient, data-driven construction outcomes. Joseph’s hands-on approach ensures every engagement is aligned with measurable project goals and industry best practices.

Business Development & Marketing Manager

Cynthia Ugwuanyi leads the client outreach, strategic growth initiatives, and promotional efforts for the firm’s consultancy and BIM training services. With a strong background in brand strategy, digital marketing, and stakeholder engagement, she excels in elevating visibility across public and private sector networks. She oversees campaign execution, and works collaboratively with technical teams to ensure business development aligns with service offerings. Her role ensures that market strategy and operational delivery drive sustainable growth, client satisfaction, and industry presence in Kenya and beyond.
